2. What's new in the ITILŪ v3 examination world?

Vernon Lloyd reports on latest developments in ITILŪ v3 qualifications.
Thousands of people have already attended ITIL v3 training courses and taken examinations at Foundation,
Foundation Bridge and Manager's Bridge level.
Many of these delegates want to take their knowledge and qualifications to the next level. APM Group, the official
accreditor, have recently announced the dates when the next tranche of examinations will be available:
October 1, 2008

- Service Lifecycle Modules: Service Transition, Service Operation
- Service Capability Modules: Service Offerings & Agreements, Operational Support & Analysis, Release, Control & Validation
January 1, 2009
- Service Lifecycle Modules: Service Strategy, Service Design, Continual Service Improvement, Managing Across the Lifecycle
- Service Capability Modules: Planning, Protection & Optimization
ITIL Expert
The Managing Across the Lifecycle examination will also start in January to enable delegates to achieve the ITIL Expert certificate,
as it is now officially known. Collectively, the Capability and Lifecycle qualifications will be known as “ITIL Intermediate”.
The Capability courses will be 5 days in duration; the Lifecycle courses will be 3 days. Fox IT will be offering all of the
Intermediate courses from their respective launch dates.

3. Guaranteed PASS for ITILŪ v2/v3 Manager's Bridging Examinations
|
|
|
What about ITILŪ v2 Manager's Examinations?
The ITIL v2 Managers examinations will be available for longer than originally thought (well into 2009),
which does give delegates the opportunity to achieve ITIL Expert quicker than through the ITIL v3 route.
Pass your ITIL v2 Managers Certificate with Fox IT, and we will GUARANTEE a pass on the v2/v3 Manager's Bridging examination.

4. Last chance for ITILŪ v2 Practitioner courses
|
|
|
As the new ITIL version 3 Capability course are being rolled out from October 2008, the equivalent version 2 Practitioner qualifications are gradually being withdrawn.
Fox IT has scheduled one final course for each of the main v2 Practitioner qualifications over the next few months so you still have a chance to complete these.
