ITIL v3 Conversion Package
During the initial days of ITIL v3 many organisations will want to know how the changes impact their existing processes and operations.

To help with this Fox IT have developed a conversion pack which includes:
 Conversion Course
 ITIL v3 Assessment and RoadMap
 ITIL v3 ROI Workshop
(see www.foxit.net/itilv3conv)

ITIL v3 Training
Fox IT will be offering the full range of ITIL accredited courses being offered by APMG (and also ISEB and EXIN). At present we have only received the information relating to the ITIL Foundation course (examinations in the ITIL v3 syllabus will be ready mid-June) and we await notification of their plans for Practitioner and Manager level courses.

As we await this information it is worth reminding everyone that an ITIL Foundation is an ITIL Foundation, so certificates awarded against what is now known as ITIL v2 are equivalent to ITIL v3. The same applies to Practitioner and Manager qualifications.

The word on the street is that there may be no Manager’s examination / course against ITIL v3 and that this will be replaced with a series of courses on each of the main publications, e.g. Service Transition. If this is the case, then Fox IT recommend that those who want a Manager’s level qualification book onto our current Manager’s Certificate courses. Fox IT will continue to offer ITIL v2 courses until ISEB and EXIN withdraw the accreditation for these (expected to be in 2008).

It is not clear what is being proposed for the Practitioner courses and whether these will be clustered, e.g. Change, Configuration and Release Management, or Single Subject. Again the current crop of practitioner courses are valid and Fox IT will be including information about the differences between ITIL v2 and ITIL v3 on all our courses.

Finally, we are already offering a Conversion Course for those who have ITIL v2 qualifications / knowledge and want to find out what is different and what the implications are.
(see ITIL Version 3 Conversion course details).

ITIL v3 Process Maps
Fox IT have updated our web-based process maps and documentation to align with ITIL v3 and also added all the new processes. ITIL v3 Process Maps This means that the documentation library now contains everything you need to accelerate your ITIL and/or ISO20000 project. This has been the foundation for more than 20 customers over the last year for their on-line process and procedures library
(see www.foxit.net/foxPRISM).

We have also included a detailed RACI Matrix for each of the processes, bringing clearer definition of roles and activities than was previously available.

ITIL v3 ROI Evaluator
Fox IT have enhanced our ITSM ROI Evaluator to include more measurable and tangible metrics for evaluating the benefits that can be derived from your ITSM improvement programmes. This now includes Incident, Change, Request and Availability metrics. The ROI Workshop has also been modified to provide the ROI Report faster and with greater evidence to support your Service Improvement work
(see www.foxit.net/foxROI).

ITIL v3 Assessments
With the changes to ITIL as part of the Refresh, Fox IT have taken the opportunity to revise our assessment and review offerings. We now have a consistent and standardised ITSM Maturity Model which we use to undertake our various assessment services, be these simple Workshop based assessments; focused Process Assessments; or full ITSM Service Reviews. Our maturity model conforms to the ISO15504 standard for maturity assessments and will give organisations a real sense of where they are and what they need to do to move their Service Operation forward
(see www.foxit.net/foxMAPS).

ITIL v3 ITSM Simulation
The “Service Management in Action” ITSM Simulation has been enhanced to bring out key aspects of the changes within ITIL v3, with new roles, new activities and new events to be managed during the simulation (see www.foxit.net/SMIA).
