ISO 20000 Compliance Assessment
The ISO/IEC 20000 Compliance Assessment provides a comprehensive and objective report on your readiness to achieve ISO/IEC 20000 (also known as ISO20000), the International Standard for IT Service Management that has now replaced BS15000. It will be conducted by an experienced BS15000 / ISO20000 qualified consultant.
Purpose
The ISO20000 assessment is designed to examine and measure the compliance to ISO20000 within the organisation, and to identify areas of non-compliance where further work needs to be carried out in readiness for the ISO20000 Certification. Depending on the type of assessment, the deliverables may include:
- The production of an Executive Summary report
- An ISO20000 Compliance score that can be used as a baseline
- Details of non-conformities
- Identification of recommendations
- A route map for moving forward to achieve ISO20000
- A presentation of the review findings
Approach
The assessments utilise a range of information gathering techniques including interviews, facilitated workshops, observations and the study of relevant records and documentation.
The consultant uses a workbook to ensure that the assessment is undertaken in a thorough, structured and objective manner.
The duration of the assessment depends on a range of factors including size and complexity of the organisation, the nominated scope for the assessment and the depth of investigation required. An initial meeting is held with each organisation to ascertain their requirements and allow delivery of an assessment tailored to their specific needs.
The assessment can be delivered in a number of different forms:
- Facilitated Workshop (typically 2-days elapsed)
- Foundation (typically 5-days elapsed)
- Focussed (typically 5-10 days elapsed)
- Full ISO20000 Assessment (typically up to 30 days effort)
