Purpose

To provide a summary of IT Service Management process maturity, possibly as a pre-requisite for a more detailed assessment.

Approach

The Online Self-Assessment provides a brief introduction to each of the ITIL processes, and a baseline for an organisation's process maturity.

Benefits

It should be used as the basis for more detailed assessments, or by organisations that are new to ITIL concepts.

• A high level introduction to the level of IT Service Management process maturity within your organisation
• Recommendations for follow up actions
• The basis upon which more detailed assessments can be built at a later stage

The Fox IT Self Assessment tool provides a high level view of process maturity in each of the ITIL Service Management disciplines. Where appropriate, recommendations for improvement are made. These alone may be used as input to an improvement programme, although a more detailed assessment by an independent third party is recommended.
