Vigilant Autodial transmission service script result codes ========================================================== When an autodial call to a paging service fails, the failing result code is normally logged to the autodial log file (UCVBPAGE.LOG) in the work directory, (e.g. C:\VIGILANT\WORK\VB120 for Battleboard 1.2x). The autodial log file is an ASCII text file which records autodial actions and their results. The file can be viewed by most MSDOS editor and word processor programs. By examining this log file in conjunction with the list of result code meanings given below, it should be possible to determine why an autodial call has failed. (During an autodial call, messages from the paging service are normally logged to the Vigilant log file, also in the work directory, so further evidence from a failure may be found in that file.) 981 Message rejected by paging service as invalid 982 No password given 983 Error reported by paging service 984 Service can't process message - retry later 985 Service password incorrect 986 Forced disconnect from TAP service (system busy?) 990 Call failed to connect to service 994 Pager number or id not recognised by service 995 Conversation with service timed out 996 Connection lost 997 VSDL script command error -998 Message successfully passed to service but Autodial failed tlstrcte Message Holding File 999 Autodial system error (non-specific) Ultracomp Ltd. 9 December 1994
