Vigilant Autodial Transmission Service script for VODAFONE TELENOTE service =========================================================================== This diskette contains a new Autodial Transmission Service script (UCVBPGTV.HSB) for use with the VODAFONE TELENOTE paging service which sends short messages to mobile phones. To use this script, follow the instructions below. 1. Copy the file UCVBPGTV.HSB from the diskette into your script directory. If you are using Autodial as part of Battleboard, that directory is probably C:\VIGILANT\SCRIPT\VBnnn where nnn is 120 for Battleboard 1.2x, and 130 for Battleboard 1.3x. 2. Start Battleboard if it is not running. 3. From the Main menu, select 'Autodial options & control menu'. 4. From the Autodial menu, select 'Transmission Service Configuration'. 5. Use the Tab or cursor keys to position to the first empty line to insert details for the VODAFONE TELENOTE paging service. The following data should be entered into the Service, Script, Modem options and Dial string fields on the first empty line: VODAFONE UCVBPGTV S9600 PEVEN DATA7 STOP1 AT DT 0385 499999 varying the modem baud rate (S9600) and dial string (DT 0385 499999) if necessary for your modem/telephone system. Press Return, then select 'Save configuration and exit' from the menu. 6. To specify that a destination is to use this newly defined transmission service, select 'Destinations amendment' from the Autodial options menu, select the destination to change (or create a new one), and enter the Service name you have just defined, i.e. VODAFONE, in the Transmission service field. The modem options and dial string details that you defined will be copied automatically across from the Transmission Service configuration into the appropriate destination fields. 7. The pager field should contain the number of the mobile phone to be used but specified in international format, e.g. 44385XXXXX. If this is a newly created destination, complete the other fields with values appropriate to the way it is to be used. Press Return, then select 'Done - save and exit' from the menu. 8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for any other destinations which are to use the newly defined transmission service. Ultracomp Ltd. 12 September 1995
