View Schedule

Overview

5-day public or single organisation course

The course is intended to bridge the gap between the ITIL® v2 Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management and the ITIL v3 Expert in IT Service Management.

Objectives

To educate delegates in the concepts and principles embodied in ITIL v3, focussing on those that are new to v3, and those that have significantly changed since earlier versions.

To prepare delegates for The ITIL Bridge Qualification: ITIL v1/v2 Manager’s to ITIL v3 Expert.

Who should attend?

The course is designed for individuals who already hold the Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management at an earlier ITIL version and who wish to obtain the ITIL Expert in IT Service Management, thereby demonstrating their knowledge of ITIL V3.

Professional Qualification

ITIL® Bridge Qualification: ITIL v1/v2 Manager’s to ITIL v3 Expert.

The qualification will not be awarded as a free-standing Certificate and is only available to existing holders of the ITIL Manager’s Certificate from earlier versions.

Successful completion will enable delegates to attain the ITIL Expert in IT Service Management, and to progress to the Advanced ITIL Expert in IT Service Management (when available).

The format of the examination for the Bridge Qualification: ITIL v2 Manager’s to ITIL v3 Expert will consist of a complex multiple choice, closed book paper of 20 questions, to be answered within 90 minutes. (Candidates sitting the examination in English and who do not have English as their first language will be allowed 105 minutes to allow use of a dictionary.)
