Managers Certificate in IT Service Management
Overview
2 x 5-day courses plus 1-day revision workshop (public or single organisation)
The Manager’s Certificate is attained by first attending two 5-day courses, covering ITIL Service Delivery and Service Support. The courses provide practical guidance on the design, implementation and management of a Services Framework based on ITIL best practice guidelines.
The 1-day revision workshop helps prepare delegates for the ISEB/EXIN examinations.
Objectives
To provide practical guidance on the design, implementation and management of an ITIL based Services Framework.
To prepare delegates for taking the ISEB/EXIN examinations.
Who should attend?
The courses are suitable for those IT Managers and Practitioners who have been in IT for at least five years, have relevant experience and hold the ISEB/EXIN Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
Professional Qualification
These courses lead to the ISEB/EXIN Manager’s Certificate in IT Service Management, which is attained by passing two 3-hour closed book examinations. These are scheduled quarterly at the end of January, April, July and October each year.
Delegates wishing to take this examination are required to hold the ISEB/EXIN Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management.
Structure
Each course is delivered by two of our ISEB accredited consultants who add value to the course syllabus through their own in-depth practical experience of implementing Service Management processes.
The course includes:
- Lectures and tutorials
- Practical syndicate assignments
- Mock examinations comprehensively marked to ISEB/EXIN standards
- Registering for ISEB/EXIN examinations
The consultants will be available during the evenings to offer practical advice and guidance and to facilitate discussion amongst delegates.
Documentation
Comprehensive course documentation is provided, including a copy of the itSMF’s* ’IT Service Management’ booklet.
Each delegate attending public courses will receive a copy of the official ITIL Service Delivery and Service Support books.
